There is this white page, staring at me, and a universe of feelings thoughts and things waiting to be impressed on these volatile pixels.
Today’s soundtrack is provided by the great Arvo Part, and I encourage you to listen it while reading of this update.
We’re closing the Icelandic chapter tonight, and the reason for the delay between the last update and this one, is due to the fact that I wanted to develop the negatives from the journey, and it took some time and research to find a reliable laboratory for the task.
The first picture of Iceland in the roll is the following one. The droplet of mist running through the interior of the car tells you the level of humidity, every morning we woke at dawn and started packing, then the car needed to be heated up, and due to the environment, this was our typical morning.
But catching up with the latest update, we were leaving Arnarstapi.
Heading to the end of the snaefellsjokull national reserve we reached Öndverðarnes, that is the corner of cliffs (and a lighthouse) marking the end of the park. These rocks are inhabited by sterns and other birds at a lesser extent, but this time they were more friendly than usual.
The road continues passing by an exhausted volcano: Saxhöll. Since you can notice it, its nature will be clear. A rusty stair will lead you to the top.
From now on, the extent of the journey, and the amount of pictures (around 65 in this update) are forcing me not to be tedious, and let you enjoy the pictures without further commentary.
This concludes the icelandic saga, at least for now, or until the next journey on that island.
As you may not have noticed, these pictures came without signature. After a sort of long mumbling, I am opting for this option. The lack of watermarking may be a go-pass for picture recyclers, and cheap third party sites regularly stealing pictures from passionates. But this is the price to be paid for telling this story.
