Holy molly, you must be really missing these updates! Hold on as we have some more powders to go and the first rays of summer are revealing the buried greens and horns.
It’s been a while since the last update you received on these pages. Days began to heat up and the first traces of the green lands emerged from the thick blanket of snow that veiled the most exposed ridges.
If photography is partly narrative and partly lived, lately the story has left its place for experience, in moments of extreme condensation of free time, which have led to the recent absence from these screens. But what is left of this life once the skis have returned to their place? A story remains, written on the ephemeral tracks that we created, a road traced in the forgotten alleys of a large city, the sweat bathing the first flowers timidly reconquering the heights. In a turning that devours everything, including memory, photographs stay fixed to remember the emotions of these adventures.
You wouldn’t guess it starting by this last soliloquy, but today I’ll bore you less than usual.
Monte Palanzone – April 2018
Napoli (& Pompei, Capri, Caserta) – mid April 2018
Julierpass – May 2018
Feels nice to look back from the outside and see how photography now reaches an intrinsic dimension in passions. The objective enters within the pupil and surrenders to being led where the heart turns, a technical maturity begins to defeat the physicality of the post-production, and the error becomes an initiating part of the experience. The desire for growth does not end, but allows itself to pin of the gaze.
A northern tour will be coming (way norther than before), some intensive wandering is being planned and, never to rest, I am also starting an alpinism course.
Stay tuned?
